# Access the MCP server

> Tessie's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server connects AI models and agents to your vehicles

Tessie provides a MCP server to enable you to monitor and control your vehicles using natural language through AI apps and agents, including:

* Getting vehicle data such as charging status, battery level, location and lock status
* Controlling the vehicle, such as door locks, charging and climate

## Requirements

* An active Tessie subscription
* An app that supports MCP over Streamable HTTP with bearer authentication or custom headers

## Get started

Add `https://mcp.tessie.com` as an MCP server in your app's connection settings.

| Setting | Value |
| - | - |
| Server URL | `https://mcp.tessie.com` |
| Transport | Streamable HTTP |
| Authentication | Bearer token |

Generate an access token in [Developer Settings](https://dash.tessie.com/settings/developer) and enter it in the connection's bearer-token field.

For apps that use custom headers, provide:

```text theme={null}
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TESSIE_TOKEN
```

Your AI agent can now discover the [available tools](/reference/mcp-tools) and use them to respond to requests such as "Where's my car?" and "Lock my car."

<Danger>
  Tokens can access and control your vehicle. Only give your token to apps you trust.
</Danger>

## Revoke access

Delete the token in [Developer Settings](https://dash.tessie.com/settings/developer) to revoke access.
